A First for Aviation Africa: Experience the DOTAS LED Cabin Retrofit Live on Board

This year, DOTAS Aviation is taking the product demonstration beyond the exhibition floor.

For the first time, visitors to Aviation Africa will have the opportunity to experience our LED cabin retrofit solution live on board an operational aircraft at Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO).

Together with 748 Air Services, we are creating a special event that is unique in the history of our participation – and, given the nature of the Aviation Africa venue, a truly exceptional opportunity for the show itself.

No static display? We created our own.

Unlike many international aviation exhibitions, Aviation Africa is not held at an airport and therefore does not feature a traditional static aircraft display.

For an aviation technology company, this presents an obvious challenge: some solutions simply need to be experienced inside an aircraft.

So we found another way.

In cooperation with 748 Air Services, selected Aviation Africa attendees will be invited to NBO to step on board an aircraft equipped with the DOTAS LED cabin retrofit and experience the installation exactly where it belongs – in a real aircraft cabin.

This is not a mock-up, a showroom demonstration or a presentation on a screen.

It is an opportunity to see our retrofit installed in an actual aircraft, experience the cabin environment first-hand and discuss the technology directly with the people behind the solution.

Our engineers will be there to answer technical and operational questions – from installation and compatibility to reliability, maintenance, energy consumption and the long-term economics of converting an existing cabin lighting system to LED.

For airline operators, engineering teams, MROs and fleet decision-makers, we believe there is no better way to evaluate a retrofit than to see it operating in the environment for which it was designed.

A special milestone for three partners
